The heat-treated working end achieves a fine grain structure and a Rockwell hardness of RC 45-55, ensuring safety, edge retention, and toughness. The head is coated with red enamel to prevent rust. It has a 34″ yellow clad-style fiberglass handle with a pultruded structural core and an injection-molded polymer jacket for durability. This handle is extremely strong, non-conductive, and non-corrosive. The head is securely joined to the handle with a strong, resilient epoxy that forms both a chemical and mechanical bond, enhanced by the tapered interior detail of the eye for added strength.
